Les Flying Phantom Series qui devaient se courir ce week end aux Bermudes sur le lieu même où se déroulera l’America’s Cup en 2017 ont été reportés de quelques jours. Le cargo transportant les 10 bateaux de la serie est bien arrivé aux Bermudes mais pour x raisons (erreur de la part du terminal d’Hamilton) il est reparti vers New York avec les Flying phantoms à son bord ! Il reste à espérer que cela n’arrive pas avec les AC50 au moment de la Louis Vuitton Cup.

The Royal Bermuda Yacht Club and Phantom International made their best effort to find a solution to solve this issue, even shipping the container by cargo plane in order to speed up the process; due to thanksgiving in the USA this solution was abandoned. The container will then arrive in Royal Bermuda Yacht Club early Monday morning.
The racing program is then modified with racing starting on Tuesday morning and potentially extended to Thursday to provide the fleet 3 days of racing. »
Un contre-temps pour les organisateurs mais qui ne devrait pas empêcher la tenue de l’évènement pour cette serie en plein essor. 80 Flying Phantom ont été produits. Le constructeur sera d’ailleurs au Nautic de Paris.
